Dingle in the Morning

Dingle in the Morning

Sunday, July 16, 2017

A while ago I drove past this place.  Today I got to go back and explore.  I've been working on  a couple of projects one was quiet landscapes and another was portraits.  This fit and didn't fit both.  This seemed like a reflection of our outlook that things are disposable.  Our throw away mentality has no bounds.  A quiet empty landscape of our excess.  On the up side this is actually a salvage yard where you can go and get new doors, windows, hoods, almost any piece you need for your older car.  So kind of like Goodwill for your clothes, here is a place to get inexpensive used parts for your car, truck, or motorcycle.  (Or just browse the fashions of the past that no one wants anymore.)

Berlin

As anyone who has been in one of my morning classes knows Berlin will be playing in the mornings...the more stressed the louder it plays.  So it was very fun to get to see and hear them at Summerfest this year.

This is not the best shot of her in the crowd, except for the face of the girl in the peach.  I wish her reaction was a little more visible, but it was ecstatic.

Summerfest 2017 Tommy Tutone

So its hard to believe that I am such a slacker and haven't posted since last summerfest.  Just goes to show I need to start putting some of my other stuff up.  But it you'll see it all eventually.  This year's Summerfest started off with a bang.  Tommy Tutone and Berlin.  Just a little nostaglia.

I noticed two things about my shooting tonight.  One- the person closest to me on stage gets more pics, and two-while singing and being moved by the music I seem to capture people making faces they may not think are flattering  ðŸ˜Š
